Dr. Katia Koelle, Assistant Professor of Biology, Duke University will be speaking on “Understanding the Ecological and Evolutionary Dynamics of Dengue”. Dr. Alun Lloyd, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics at North Carolina State University will address “Novel Genetic Strategies for Controlling Mosquito-Borne Diseases”. The University Seminar on Global Health is a monthly series of public lectures that bring together a multi-disciplinary group of faculty and students from the University, the Medical Center, and the community to engage in critical dialogue about global health.
