Martin von Haselberg and Brian Routh made up The Kipper Kids, a performance duo begun in the early 1970s. The Kipper Kids performed both in the US and Europe, drawing on Japanese rituals, English Music Hall routines, the works of Samuel Beckett among other sources. They stopped collaborating actively in the early 1980s. They are the subject of the current Franklin Center gallery show, documenting the decade-long history of The Kipper Kids. David A. Ross, former director, Whitney Museum and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art will join Martin von Haselberg for the GATA lunch. Lunch will be provided.
